Sunday Services

church

The church meets every Sunday at 10:30am. It helps to arrive early to get a parking spot in the public car park that is behind the church, to the rear of the main bus stop. Sorry, we are a town centre church and there is no parking available on the site.

We meet at:
Brixham Baptist Church, Market Street, Brixham, Devon TQ5 8EU

You can expect a warm welcome, uplifting praise and preaching based on the Word of God to help you in your everyday walk of faith no matter what your age or experience. We attract a diverse local congregation from a wide background and also those on holiday. We hope you will come ready to learn more about what it means to be a follower of Jesus in todays world, and go away with that hope fulfilled.

We have a Sunday youth programme called Shine! It's great for children, young people and even there parents and carers. There's usually a light brunch provided for everyone in Shine. Adults can stay in Shine with their young ones or join the main service. However, we all join together at the end of the service to hear what each have been doing.

After the main meeting finishes we have a prayer ministry team available for anyone who would like prayer, and there is always drinks and biscuits served in the hall so you can stay and chat with others.

Come and join us!

If you have any questions about our Sunday Services or need to get in touch with us about any other enquiry we will be happy to help. Please Contact Us for more information.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

church

When and Where

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving a bit early to get a parking spot in the public car park that is behind the church, to the rear of the main bus stop. Sadly we are a town centre church and without onsite parking. When you arrive, you will be greeted by our Welcome Team.

Accessibility:

There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There are disabled toilets at the rear of the church and also in the Front Room café.

Our Service

The main service begins at 10.30am with a warm welcome from one of our team members and a relaxed and informal style and usually lasts about 75 minutes. In the service there is sung worship, prayers, sharing of testimonies and stories together and bible-based teaching to encourage us to apply our faith to our everyday life. We usually finish with the children and youth joining us and sharing what they have been doing that morning. There is always an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service or ask questions. We serve drinks and biscuits after the service ends. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

And if you are not yet a believer, or have questions about the Christian faith, then you will be welcome too as we feel everyone is on a journey which is best travelled together.

What about children and youth?

We have a great programme lined up for children and youth, called ShineShine is a central part of our Children, Youth and Families Team activity. It's a great way for families to start Sundays! All children and young people are welcome, and parents and carers can stay as well (in fact you are encouraged to!) A Welcome Team member will be very happy to direct you to the leaders relevant to the age(s) in question.
